THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Greenwood Hayden Legacy Partners pays homage to one of the wealthiest Black communities in the early 1900s–the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Greenwood’s prosperity set an example beyond comparison–a legacy that led to its well-remembered name “Black Wall Street”.
And yet on May 31, 1921 Black Wall Street met its demise. Homes were decimated, lives were taken, and dreams were destroyed in what became “the single worst incident of racial violence in American history” – the Tulsa Race Massacre.
100 years later, Greenwood Hayden Legacy Partners seeks to continue the exceptional blueprint of collaboration, courage and success that made the Greenwood community so prosperous.
